After reading this book, I was learned about the whole life of gangsters all around the United States. Before, I thought they were all horrible people who were just out to ruin people's lives, but many of them were people who had not found their way in life and had to join a gang to be accepted by somebody. This book broadened my perspective over my idea of stereotyping all gangsters as bad people. No doubt what they have chosen is bad, and what they do is horrible, but some of them needed an outlet in life, and they found the gang to be their outlet. Also, what B.I.G's mom taught me was that hard work is very important because she came to this country with nothing, and she was able to get married, have a son, and have a nice apartment where they can live. Unfortunately, her son did not turn out the way she wanted to do, but this taught me to continue with the hard work, and never stop working for what I want, because through hard work everything is possible.
